Why corporate governance?
Increasingly there is a growing international consensus that corporate governance – involving but not limited to decision-making transparency, consistency, documentation, accountability and review – is central to organizational sustainability and renewal.

Directors and Partners, at this 30 April 2004 meeting, recognized this imperative and approved a series of corporate governance procedures, in parallel with agreeing an expanded range of trade and investment facilitation, fee-based services which the GMS-BF plans to provide.
This Handbook represents the codification of these corporate governance procedures and an affirmation of these fee-based services.
